Launched in 2008 in the United States, Glassdoor is one of the world’s biggest digital platform for recruitment and employment. The website allows people looking for a job to have access to different information like salary, opinions on a company, questions during a job interview – all published anonymously by employees and applicants.
The company exhibited in November 2019 at UNLEASH, the HR Tech and Future of Work conference for HR leaders international (Paris, France). Can you introduce yourself and describe your role in the company ?
I have worked for 3 years at Google as an account manager. I also co-founded a startup. I joined Glassdoor at the beginning of 2019 as Head of Marketing for the French market. As France is a new market, I have 2 main missions : increase brand visibility and develop the prospect database.
Are trade fairs important for Glassdoor ? If yes, why ?
Hard to say right now, it was our first time on a trade fair as an exhibitor. But this first edition was very positive so we are going to continue on that course.
Can you describe quickly the specifications of your stand project ?
I wanted a new design for this trade fair. By going to different trade exhibitions and checking on internet I knew what king of exhibition booth I wanted. Something modern, refined and cosy, that gives the desire to stay. Thanks to my design team, we had a concrete example of what kind of exhibition stand we wanted. We were able to describe precisely what was our project to the different stand contractors.
Why did you choose to attend UNLEASH ? What was the impact ?
UNLEASH is one of the biggest event in our business sector. Whether the visitors, exhibitors or partners, all the major players attend the event. That’s why we had to exhibit at UNLEASH. The impact was positive. We were able to meet some of our clients and discuss with prospects.
What skills/qualities are you expecting when you look for a stand builder ?
To me, there are three major criteria: Creativity, Reactivity, Flexibility. Creativity, by bringing new ideas. Reactivity to line up with our needs. Flexibility to understand our constraints.
How do you look for a stand builder ?
I work a lot on the recommendation principle, so I would say word-to-mouth and groups on social-networks (Facebook, Linkedin).
Why did you use the platform allostand ?
While I was looking for a stand contractor for the event, I used both Facebook and allostand. The big advantage of allostand is that you can see previous achievements, so you can have a good idea of stand builders’ skills.
